Creating fancy text

How would I do this text I know I stretch it out but can’t quite figure it out?

This is much the same as the earlier example: draw the coloured shapes, put the letters on top and adjust the sizes and positions of the underlying shapes so that everything fits together neatly.

How would I draw the colored shapes? Same way I did for the word rad?

Think you should either work on this yourself or give up.

Take a look at the attachment "loveshape.afphoto". The coloured shapes are just simple Rectangles that have been rotated and skewed in the Transform panel. This is the easiest way to start

In the attachment "loveshape2.afphoto" the same rectangles have now been converted to curves and the Node Tool used to move the right-hand side of the "rectangles" behind the letters.
