The first one is easy. Type the text in a suitably bold font, convert to curves and ungroup, and then apply a new fill colour to each of the individual letters. Select all the nodes with the Node Tool, change them to ‘Smooth’ and move them around until they look the way you want, adding more nodes as necessary. If desired, add a few squiggles with the Pencil Tool.

The second one is tricker. Come back when you’re happy with your result for the other one!

It helps everyone (including you!) if you give your files meaningful names instead of leaving them as ‘Untitled’ but I can see that the two documents you’ve shared are different stages of the process.

You seem to be on the right track. Do you still need help with this? :/

Drag between existing nodes with the Node Tool. Add extra nodes on either side of the drag if you want to make it more drippy.

Yes I do, how do I create the drip affect after the node part?

A rounded rectangle is a quick way to add a drip to the basic design

You could draw it with the pencil tool or the pen tool to make it look "melty".

Carl’s suggestion of adding rounded rectangles should work well. The tear shape is another possibility.

Those drips look like tear drops. You can make them using the Tear Shape Tool like @Alfred mentioned previously

How do I adjust the nodes to make it look like the drips and blend with the letters? I’ve tried on my iPad and have gotten overwhelmed because I can’t figure it out correctly by using either the rounded rectangle or the tear. A video would help if possible for the iPad.

thanks

The iPad version of AD has a ‘Convert to Curves’ command, group/ungroup, Boolean operations and a Node Tool. Please tell us specifically what you’re having difficulty with.

When I use the tear shape and try to shape that into drips using the nodes, gets confusing

What confused you, Josie? Please show us a picture and tell us what you think is wrong with it.

How do I create text like this?

using my iPad

Duplicate everything, apply lighter fills to the top copies and add some shapes to join it all up.

That’s just three filled shapes (red, amber and green) with white letters on top.

i can’t figure it out takes me hours to figure it out, any help on how to do this would be great.

@Alfred answered that question above, when you first asked it. You're not stretching anything. You make 3 shapes, fill them with the color, and then put three letters on top.
