Bad_Wolf Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Hi all, I am running Windows 10 20H2 version and am using Affinity Designer, Photo and Publisher version 1.9.1.979 on a laptop with 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD. When I try to print in any of the above applications, the computer crashes hard. There is a blue screen telling the computer has crashed and that they try to fix things. On one of those attempts the system partition also seemed to be damaged. I installed 1.9.0 and 1.8.5 of Designer but the hard crash remains. So I do not think it is related to the version. I also remember that in the past, I could use the "Print..." command without any problems. Now it crashes the computer. After the crash of 1.8.5 I tried to upgrade again to 1.9.1 but the updater told me that the old application could not be deleted. Then I used Revo Uninstaller to remove the old application after which I could update. But the really strange thing is that when I try to open "WordPad", it opens and the same crash appears. And with hard crash I mean a blue screen and a restart. I removed some fonts I installed a few days earlier, uninstalled some applications, checked my computer with IObit Advanced SystemCare. However, the computer keeps crashing. Can anybody tell me what is wrong and how I can fix it? Thank you so much in advance. Chris Quote
Staff Lee D Posted August 3, 2021 Staff Posted August 3, 2021 Hi @Bad_WolfSorry for the delay, we are very busy at the moment and some posts have gone unanswered. Are you still having an issue when going to print from within our apps? Are you running the latest versions of Affinity on your system? Have you tried updating your printer drivers as if you are getting BSOD, this will be caused by something else. This is because our apps are user-mode applications. Only kernel-mode applications (i.e. drivers) are capable of that. Quote
