GraphicsByGreg
It would be so so much more productive if there was at least an option to LOCK the Insert buttons. Maybe a right click option? Hold down for 2 seconds? Considering HOW intuitive Affinity IS, it's quite the opposite with a feature I need to KEEP CLICKING after EVERY action. If I want to change tools or brushes.... I need to KEEP clicking "Insert inside" etc. Thanks! GarryP
Staff MEB Posted March 29, 2021 Staff Share Posted March 29, 2021 Hi @GraphicsByGreg, Thanks for your feedback. Are you aware that you can also drag a layer over another one in the Layers panel to clip it inside it? Pick/drag the layer you want to clip from its thumbnail or label area and drop it over another in the Layers panel. GraphicsByGreg
Yes, I am very aware. But it would be far far faster if I can just ALWAYS be placing things under or inside sometimes. And yes, once I am "in" a shape working on it, most of the time I don't need to keep clicking Insert Inside button. I didn't WANT to mention Illustrator, but in that program the modes are always locked when selected. Instead I got to do workaround like create more layer to work under. Which works for now.
