Spread Setup for last document page is NOT correct working

Recommended Posts

See my screenshot for explanation.

I know that i can input for the last page the value in reverse for left and right margin. However, this is for sure not the intended way for a software like this.

So, what do i have to do to make the spread setup perform correctly?

Looks definitely like a bug to me.

After quickly trying something similar, the fix is facing master pages.

Thanks loukash for the reply.

I changed to the Masterpage section and in the Spread Setup from Single to Facing pages. This changed in the Spread Setup to the Inner and Outer margins view. This also added a white right side page to the single Master page. You can also see in the screenshot that now the Masterpage does not sit properly anymore within the margins.

I then changed for the last page the values in the spread as they should be (same values as in the Master page spread setup). Unfortunately it changes the margin to the wrong side (so to speak for the right side page instead of the backside left page. So your suggestion is not a fix. Sorry.

It is.
You must then apply the master pages properly to your spreads.

You do understand the master pages concept, right?

In your case, to fix the existing layout, the master spread doesn't necessarily need to contain anything but the correct margins. Then apply it to the layout spreads.

Either that, but if this is the first time you're dealing with this topic, I'd recommend you rebuild your layout from scratch by following the basic ideas from the tutorial. It's "page layout 101".

  • 6 months later...

Hey there, I searched and this seems to be exact right title for my error...

The very last page in my AFPub document has the margins mixed up...

I went to setup the last page and the inner margin is on the wrong side.

I did convert this from single to facing horizontal spread pages, but I have no master pages.

Any ideas on a fix?
