MobileFilmMaking
I'm having a really weird issue. Affinity Photo seems to be converting my text layers to pixels when I reopen the file forcing me to retype the text until the next time I open the file. Anyone else having these issues? Staff MEB Posted March 25, 2021 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2021 Hi @MobileFilmMaking, Welcome to Affinity Forums Are you exporting the files as PSD or saving them in their native affinity format afphoto? It's possible some features you are using are rasterising the text layers. What are you doing with the text? Can you provide more details? Thanks for the reply I save my files as both... but I'm opening the native Affinity format and I'm finding my text rasterized. Not on every layer... just on some layers. It seems random because i'll fix it, save it, open the file later and different text is rasterized.
Staff MEB Posted March 25, 2021 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2021 Regarding PSD export, all text objects are rasterised on export since we don't support exporting text as editable text layers to PSD. The native format however shouldn't do it. Can you attach a sample file where this behaviour can be reproduced? I can provide an upload link if you wish to keep the file private - just let me know.
