Anton Deck
Hi, I'm a recent Photoshop convert. I'm generally a very happy chap but I am sorely missing the ability to: alt [ (or) alt ] to quickly move up and down from layer to layer. example, In Photoshop, if there are several layers and layer 1 is visible, alt ] selects the next layer and makes it visible, while deselecting and hiding the previous one. Yes, I can alt-click the thumbnail in Photo to do similar (which is a great feature), but the keyboard shortcut is a valuable tool, particularly if you need to a/b/c edits or if animating something. alt click a layers checkbox to show/hide all layers
loukash
Selecting layers per keyboard shortcut is possible in Designer & Publisher (Select > Select Next / Previous), but for some odd reason the devs forgot to put this command into the Photo's Select menu. However, you can assign shortcuts to Select All Layers / Deselect Layer, and Lock / Unlock, Hide / Show. 2 hours ago, Anton Deck said: alt click a layers checkbox to show/hide all layers Something similar is already there: shift-click to select layers you want to show/hide, then enable or disable just one of the checkboxes. But yeah, more of such options would be helpful. Anton Deck
Thanks 😀 Yes, I'm aware of those, but they're all a bit clunky and none to do the scroll through. I guess it's just adapting how I do things and work with the limitations
ARKITECTONICS
@Anton Deck I believe I have found the closest thing to quickly scrolling/navigating LOTS AND LOTS OF LAYERS... you press "SHIFT + LMB CLICK" on the "LAYERS NAVIGATION HANDLE BAR" at different positions along the list height and it zips you there rather than scrolling through. I use this to quickly navigate to the area to then click the little right arrow to open and close layers. This saves lots of scroll movements. Hope this helps some. Cheers! BUT....A shortcut would be nice for quick collapse or expand layers or layer and to like shift tab or alt tab or shift/alt up down would be nice...
