joel.flick
Since updating to 1.9.1.979 when I drag an asset onto an artboard the asset is heavily distorted. Moreover, if i drag and hold the asset over an artboard it continually distorts more and more until it is released onto the page. By distorting i mean it will either continually stretch vertically, sometimes horizontally, and sometimes in both directions resulting in a zooming object. Staff Sean P Posted March 25, 2021 Staff Share Posted March 25, 2021 Hi joel.flick, This is an issue we're aware of and it has now been fixed in the 1.9.2 release which is currently in beta as ashf has said.
joel.flick
Thanks for the quick reply guys. Little background here, i am using this software professionally, I do not usually like running beta software but at this point, but not having access to my asset library is much worse than using beta software. So, I downloaded the beta, but it installed completely separately from my Official release (no assets). Does this mean if i want to use the beta i will need to transfer all of my library over temporarily until the next release comes out and then transfer everything back??? You need to transfer your assets manually. I guess 1.9.2 will be released next week though if you can wait.
CM0
I found that if you don't drag the asset, but instead double click on the asset in the assets panel, then you will get a place cursor to place the asset. It will then place normally onto the artboard.
