Vertical Text Alignment in Table

Recommended Posts

Hi - Can someone please help me, this is driving me wild.

I have read through all the help I can find but I am unable to select the option to set the vertical alignment to centre for text in a table. I have disabled the baseline grid but it is still un-available.

Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.

First part of your question: Visit Preferences >> User Interface and switch the UI style. Second part of your question: You easily configure your toolbar with View >> Customise Toolbar.

Can I move them up?

No. You cannot move panels into the upper toolbar. Part of the functions of the Paragraph panel you'll see in the Context Toolbar right below, which will be filled with functions depending on the tool you are currently using. In this Context Toolbar there are also "shortcut buttons" to show the panels if you need them.

The option is always there, when you place a cursor in a cell OR the layout looks like in Fipo's screenshot when you select a cell or several cells.
