These are probably very simple questions but I can't find answers in either the forum or the Help facility in AD.

I bought in a 100 page book interior from Creative Fabrica and would like to add in some artboards and change the font throughout, but can't work out how to do it. I have made the new artboards but when I try to place them where I want them, the other pages don't move aside. Do they have to be moved manually to make room for the new pages? Or is there some way of achieving this quickly? I have watched your video tutorial but it doesn't explain how to do this.

Also, how do I change the font throughout?

Many thanks

Designer is probably not the best application to be creating a 100 page book in; Publisher is probably much better (that’s the sort of thing it was created to do).

Artboards don’t move unless you move them yourself.

As for changing the font, you could be very limited as to what you can do in Designer and may need to do a lot of manual work. I’ve never tried to do mass text changes in Designer so I can’t say what’s best but I’ve not noticed anything useful, except Styles which may need manual work if your original document doesn’t have them set-up.

Thanks for the reply. I do have Affinity Publisher but only bought it a couple of days ago so haven't even looked at it yet, as I am still trying to get to grips with the Designer.

I think I will stick to the font provided and leave it at that for now, and make my own interiors from scratch in future. It does seem like a missed opportunity to include no facility for reorgainising or adding to a document without having to put in a lot of extra work.

I can move the document over and see if I can make sense of it there. Thanks
