Text Styles Panel :: preview colors / details text field

I notice since various app versions that the text styles panel sometimes does show colored previews but often doesn't. I could not figure out yet what it depends on. Sometimes this preview shows color but once the style gets edited it loses color, sometimes it shows color for the stroke only (while fill & stroke have the same applied). In the two attached .afpubs a few samples (v.191 / beta v.1014)
(any idea why the v191 file size is ~300 kB whereas v1014 is ~1900 kB ?? )

v.1.9.1:   v191 text styles panel > colors preview.afpub

v.1014ß:     v1014 txt styles panel > colors preview.afpub

Also I wonder whether the styles details text field does display as wanted. Not only it is often cropped even in its first line but also scrolling through this window can be extremely demanding. Occasionally I copy/paste the content to a text frame for more readability. – Is that in purpose? Or is this field meant to be scalable by the user?
