Neiko91
Hi, I've having trouble getting my channel selection to make a nice mask. I've created a spare channel and got a decent selection of the cat I want but when it comes to masking it, it looks terrible. I load this as a pixel selection: and it looks okay as a quick mask: but then as soon as I come to mask it, it comes out like this: What's going on here/ what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance, I'm sure it's me doing something stupid, so any help would be much appreciated.
NotMyFault
Hi, difficult to say based only on the description could you upload the original file, and a video of your editing steps? The mask itself looks ok on first sight. if you are on windows, please try to deactivate OpenCL in preferences->performance as this solves many rendering issues of 1.9.979 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. Neiko91
Hi NotMyFault, apologies for not responding sooner - only just realised anyone had responded; had given up all hope! Your suggestion to deactivate OpenCL worked! Thanks very much for the suggestion and the help. It's much appreciated! NotMyFault
