I am new to Affinity Designer and vector drawing in general. I have an issue with text sizing as my interface is showing as much bigger than it should be. The attached screen cap shows the setting at minimum of 5pt. The document header shows Untitled [Modified](2160.2%) but I don't know why as I just created it and made no changes to the settings.

Please advise, many thanks.

Welcome to the forums @PinkCampion
Your artboard is very small.
See the Transform Panel at the bottom-right of the screen.
The width of the selected layer is only 5.8 mm but that almost covers the entire width of the artboard.
This is why a small font size of 5pt looks so large in comparison to the artboard size, and why the document is zoomed in to 2160.2%.

Thanks for the reply. That's hilarious. After I posted I realised that I had changed the file attributes, thinking I had changed it to inches but it looks like it didn't stick and has come out as millimetres (pixels?) and I hadn't noticed. I am just a beginner at vector art but have learned a lot even since posting this question.

You’re welcome.
This sort of mistake is easy to do in the Affinity applications, unfortunately.
When you set the initial size of the document you can change the width and height to what you want but if you then change the units (below the size values) the size values above will change, which can be confusing if you don’t notice it.
I’m fairly sure this has been mentioned in the forums before (maybe by me, but I can’t remember).
If you remember to always change the units (if necessary) before changing the size values then you should be fine.
