Endriu Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 I drew a head line (blue line). Then I drew a hairline that I started by merging with the highlighted yellow line of the blue hairline. I can color my head because the shape is completely closed. Unfortunately hair coloring is bad (1 screen). How can i color my hair to fill it in like a photoshop modification (2 screen)? You always have to close the shapes and arrange the layers accordingly, there is no other way? ;( I'm from Poland, my ENG is from translator, so sorry ;) Quote
Alfred Posted March 21, 2021 Posted March 21, 2021 Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, @Endriu. Extend the ends of the hair shape beyond the blue outline of the head shape, and close the hair shape so that you have two overlapping closed shapes. In the Layers panel, drag the hair layer below and to the right of the head layer’s thumbnail until you see a thick, blue horizontal line (which I’m sorry I can’t show you from my iPad). Drop the hair layer there so that it becomes clipped to the head shape. It is not necessary to close the hair shape curve. You just have to make sure the end nodes are placed far enough outside of the head shape that its fill covers everything it should. You can cut the hair layer to the clipboard, select the head layer and then ‘Paste Inside’ for the same end result.
