Jim Monson
In previous Affinity versions persona options were seen at the top left of my document. In 1.9 they did not appear, and I cannot find any preference that turns them on or off. What am I missing? Thanks. ADDED LATER: I have now come to find that these personas are only in Designer and not in Publisher in which I created my doc. My question above was because *in Publisher* I switched to Designer and did not see the personas there. When I tried to open my Publisher doc in "native" Designer I got an error code t(attached). I then tried to copy/paste my work in the 15-page Publisher into a new "native" Designer doc of the same size. However, the Publisher layer names did not come over into Designer, only the objects without the names that I created in Publisher. Thus I must rename the Designer layers or remake the entire work in Designer. I understand why Affinity cannot do everything we users want, and this is not a complaint. It is, however, a suggestion that you make the above clear to he user in some fashion, i.e., that not all features in "native" Designer are available in the Designer available in Publisher. Thanks to all of you working to make Affinity programs so wonderful for all of us out here.

Jim Monson
Thanks, Carl. Not my addition to my original question. BTW, your comments on "house arrest" and Boris are much appreciated!
R C-R
Like everything else on the main toolbar, you can remove, add, or change the position of the Persona buttons via the View > Customize Toolbar..." item.menu item. Jim Monson
Thanks, R C-R. I use these "Customize Toolbar" personas all the time. It is the Export Persona that is not in Publisher's Designer. The Export Persona (with slices, etc.) is only available in a native Designer, not in the Designer one can call up in Publisher's personal. I hope I am making sense. Thanks, R C-R, for all the help you give us.

Pšenda
Only for interest - topic "Persona options not visible" is about "The Export Persona (with slices, etc.)"? R C-R
11 hours ago, Jim Monson said: This is the error message that forgot to attach above. Usually, that message means the Affinity document was created with a beta version later (newer) than the version you are trying to open it with. So for example if you (or whoever else) created it with the current APub beta & you try to open it with the current retail version, you get that message. BTW, APub has 3 personas, one of which is its Designer persona, but that is not the same thing as the stand-alone AD app. So when you switch to the Designer persona of APub, you are not switching to the Designer app (which you can do via the File menu > Open in Designer item).
