Change Multiple Stroke Widths By Same Percentage

Recommended Posts

I know this is probably a shot in the dark, but is there a way to change all vector brush strokes by an equal percentage? (Because I screwed up at the start.)

That is, I have brush strokes of various widths and I want to increase all of them to twice their current width (2 => 4, 1.3 =. 2.6) without having to do each one individually.

Thanks.

@skmwrpThere isn't an automatic method.  But, start with the widest stroke you have.  Click on one of the 2 (unit unknown) stroke width lines, then in the menu Select Same>Stroke Width, this will select all the 2 unit widths.  Then in the Stroke width field append a *2 or just enter 4.  All the selected will change to 4 units.  Then choose a 1.3 unit stroke and repeat the process.

Thanks, but I already considered that for a few seconds, but it would not only be painful, but as soon as I started updating them, it would be very easy to lose track of what's been changed and which not unless I also went through the more painful step of finding the widest line, starting there, and then working methodically through to the smallest. Not worth it.

I have since found that by selecting the group their in (each character's inking is in its own group), I can apply an Outline FX which gives me pretty much the result I'm looking for. Don't know why, but it seems almost proportional.

Thanks again for the help.

It is a pity, that the stroke thickness setting with "* = 2" does not work correctly when "Transform Objects Separately" is selected.
