Beta preferences sync

Is there a way to sync all app settings (shortcuts, palettes, presets..) between non-beta and beta versions? Honestly wouldn't mind some kind of button in Misc preferences to export all preferences in one package, for backup sake, too.

There isn't.

However, for going from the non-beta version of one of the applications to the beta version of the same application, copying the "user" folder while neither version is running will probably work. This FAQ will assist you in locating that folder:

I would make a backup of the beta application's "user" folder first.

Serif Store version:

1. quit Affinity Photo
2. duplicate folder ~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Photo
3. rename the folder copy to Affinity Photo Beta (if already present, rename the old version first)
4. duplicate ~/Library/Preferences/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.plist
5. rename to com.seriflabs.affinitypublisher.beta.plist (if already present, rename the old version first)

Does not include saved Studio Presets. They can be copied over, but it involves 1) renaming files in ~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Photo Beta/presets from "com.seriflabs.Studio.Preset.Data2Photo-tab.my_preset_name.preset" to "com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.Studio.Preset.Data2Photo-tab.my_preset_name.preset" (@Patrick Connor, why does the preset file name changes with each update?), and 2) editing ~/Library/Preferences/com.seriflabs.affinitypublisher.beta.plist with a plist editor (I recommend Prefs Editor, and make sure to read and understand how and why it works the way it works) and renaming the coresponding preset data entry as well. This is seriously something for power users who know what they are doing. And p.i.t.a.

Same for the other two apps.

Mac App Store version is slightly more complex, but the regular files are all in ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto/Data/Library/Application Support and ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto/Data/Library/Preferences. For the beta, they also need to be copied into ~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Photo Beta, and the plist file to ~/Library/Preferences/com.seriflabs.affinitypublisher.beta.plist respectively.
