Baz101 Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Hi, I'm new to Serif and graphic design, so apologies if this should be simple I'm using Designer (Artistic Text Tool) to merge and overlap two letters of different colours. However, I can see a faint line/shade where the edges of the letters meet. How do I get rid of this? Thanks. Quote
NotMyFault Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Hi, not an AD expert, but in Photo similar issues are caused by missing pixel alignment. It seems the position of the letters is not perfectly pixel-aligned, but off by 1/2 pixel. If you zoom in to 400%, you can see that both letters show 1 pixel wide dithered edges. If possible, try to position exactly on integer positions. Baz101 Posted March 20, 2021 Author Posted March 20, 2021 Hi @NotMyFault. Yes, I've tried to line up the letters as best as I can, but it made little difference. I think it must be the combination of colours, because when I use different two different colours the lines are less obvious/non-existent. Will just try and play around with different colours/effects to reduce those lines. Thanks. Quote
NotMyFault Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 In Photo i use the transform panel. Besides position, you may need to adjust w and h to integer values, too. And you have to experiment by decreasing in steps of 1 unit you find a size where both sides of the left rectangular shape of the letter are sharp.
