skmwrp Posted March 20, 2021 Posted March 20, 2021 Version 1.9.1/1.9.7 - Opening and working on file stored on iCloud. Save and closed. Deleted file from iCloud on Mac side. When I go back to AD on iPad and select Open from iCloud, the file is still there as though it can be selected. When I tried opening, got alert saying file does not exist. Checking Files app, the file is not there. Only way to get it out of Designer was to close app and then swipe it from memory, opening app from scratch. Quote
skmwrp Posted March 20, 2021 Author Posted March 20, 2021 Ah! Figured out I can swipe the missing file & delete it when in Open from iCloud. Not the best, but it's much less work than what I was doing before. Quote
skmwrp Posted March 21, 2021 Author Posted March 21, 2021 Okay, spoke too soon, because this morning I couldn't delete as stated above because it AD kept telling me that the file doesn't exist, so I had to shut down, swipe from memory, open again. Quote
Staff Sean P Posted March 23, 2021 Staff Posted March 23, 2021 Hi skmwrp, I think this is actually an issue with Files itself. I find myself that after deleting the file that both Files app and Affinity still recognize the file as there. However as soon as file was opened (without error, despite deleting it from my Mac) it then disappeared in Files. I've also found that a file in the root of my iCloud drive still doesn't disappear from the actual Files app despite deleting it either until I close the Files app fully and then reopen. Quote
skmwrp Posted March 23, 2021 Author Posted March 23, 2021 I didn't see the file in Files, only in AD, though I don't doubt it's possible that Files is still hanging onto an invisible file that AD can still see. Quote
