MicahD. Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 As a new Affinity user, one of the very first things I want to do is set ALL units to default to metric, as I do literally every part of my workflow using millimeters. I never need to use pixels or percentages or any other form of unit, and I agree that being told by the makers of the program "Well you should use this unit instead" is pretty lousy customer support. You should provide solutions to customer requests based on what they actually need to do, not what you think they "should" do. 1. I need all units to be metric 2. I need a trace bitmap feature Please respond and let me know if these things will be addressed. I'm in the trial period, but if this is a situation where the answer to customer needs is "Learn a different way of doing things" then I'll just go back to inkscape. Quote

AndRo Marian Posted January 22 Posted January 22 How is not this implemented already, I don't know. Is really annoying to not have an option to make units to be metric anywhere. Quote

Affinity does not provide timelines for new features or bug resolution, except those already available in Beta. The forum users and Affinity will try their best to show you what is possible today with Affinity apps. Affinity probably will not change their principle way of managing the app, to make one single user happy. If you decide to switch back, no bad feelings. We will survive, and will welcome you anytime later again if you change your mind. You can use existing or self-created template files where the units are mm, and you can chose units for specific situations (fonts, line width). We don’t know who said what to you.
