Draw a shape on top of the image with the Pen Tool, and wrap to that rather than wrapping to the image?

like an ellipse?  drop the opacity?

I wouldn't usually try to draw an ellipse with the Pen Tool.

With the Pen Tool you would put nodes wherever you wanted them to get the exact wrap you want. And there's no need for it to have a Fill at all.

hmmm...that didn't go well...gonna need practice.  The pen tool works different than in Photo, too...which is even worse.  I need to watch a few tutorials.

Thanks for the help!

You can edit the Wrap Outline as well. There is a dedicated button to use this feature.

I used "tight" and distanced the text 3 px in the text wrap settings.  Walt's right...I need to use the dang pen tool...  Just need to learn how lol

And? You can still edit the Wrap Outline with the Node Tool. Or if you use the Pen Tool draw a simple form around the image by just clicking and after that refine it with the Node Tool adding nodes or making curves.

"And?" - I was explaining that I was aware of the text wrap settings.  Yes, Walt mentioned the pen tool...and I suck at the pen tool lol
