tofic
when I attempt to edit a file, it switches to Embedded, and can not be saved. How do I get rid of the Embedded title, so a page could be edited
Joachim_L
Which application are you using and what is the format of the file and is the file already embedded or linked? carl123
If you open an embedded document file it will open as a new tab called Embedded. That tab is where you can make changes to the embedded file Once those changes are complete you do not save that file/tab, you simply close the tab. Any changes you made will be reflected/updated in your document Note: the original (external) document you embedded will not be changed Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. tofic
I am using Publisher on a Mac with 2 pages. one of the pages could be edited easily, and the other one , when I start to edit it switches to embedded title, as if I have one page. and no option to save, until I click on the title again so I could save. I tried to duplicate the page, and I tried to copy and save the page. Unfortunately it duplicates the problem
tofic
Is there a way to have a file with 2 pages, without Embedded or Linked involved
carl123
You should only have an embedded or linked document if you have "placed" such a document in your Publisher file Can you upload your Publisher file so we can see what you have in it? Joachim_L
The Resource Manager is saying that the file is embedded, no wonder you cannot save changes to the .afdesign file. tofic
I have changed to Linked at Document-Resource Manager . It still showing that Embedded Tab. Could it be just corrupted file ?

Could it be just corrupted file ? You would need to close the Embedded tab yourself. Simply changing the embedded document to linked while it's open would not do that. I would switch the document back to Embedded via the Resource Manager before doing that, however.
