Onis
Hi!  I have a problem with affinity designed on ipad pro. When I try to rescale a more complex pattern, the scaling is weird. I attached a file of this. If anyone has any idea how to fix this, that would be great. 🙂  (I also posted a reddit topic of this at https://www.reddit.com/r/Affinity/comments/m6bka1/affinity_designer_rescale_problem/) Edited March 16, 2021 by Onis
Affinity-Inspiration
Do you actually have the file you are using? Can you share it. Quote  iPad Mini 6.  256GB. Publisher. Designer. Photo for Mac, PC & iOS @Affinity-Inspiration

Onis
I just realized the scaling is behaving exactly as it should, and that's how it would work in static pixel image too. :' D  I think what I'm looking for is a border, not rescaling. But sure I can export the file with the original pattern etc, which file format would be good ?
Affinity-Inspiration
It depends what you wa t to use the image for? Image with border... Onis
Is it possible to convert the border to a separate object?  Ideally I would like to create architectural patterns that I could create 3D-objects out of them. for example creating a door like this; https://fi.pinterest.com/pin/13018286412038589/ and bringing it to blender. I have heard it's possible to convert vector art to 3D.  I do 3d-graphics, but I'm still fairly new to vector graphics, so still testing out what works and what doesn't. I don't see it atm, but if it's on the desktop version, I'm sure it'll be here somewhere/will be brought in ipad too later on.  Thank you so much for your help! This was super helpful. 🙂

DM1
You could duplicate smaller shape, subtract one  from larger shape to create a border.
