Lance Nishi Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 I am writing a long book so would like Framemaker's book file function, that is, the ability to create a book that can be composed of chapters, which themselves can be composed of subchapters, as so on. These smaller units are all documents (files). The ability to organize would enable changes to be made to individual files, rather that to one long document, as is the case with InDesign. PaoloT Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 For technical documentation and magazines, this would make things a lot easier. Seen from outside, it looks like something that can easily be implemented in a forthcoming Book function. Where InDesign is obtusely stuck in a single-level list of chapters, AfPublisher could allow nested levels, in the style of Scrivener. Paolo kenmcd 1 Quote

A screenshot with the forthcoming Book functionality has emerged. It looks, however, similar to the one of InDesign. In any case, it will be more than welcome, and will be a real breakthrough for use in professional environments. Paolo Quote
