Text in Asset is shrunk when placed on new page

Recommended Posts

When grouping objects and converting them into an Asset, the text of a text box is shrunk when the Asset is placed on a new page. Furthermore it is not possible to place the Asset in the document from which it came. The Asset vanishes from the cursor when dragging the Asset from the Asset panel to the canvas. The file was an idml file.

I tested again with versions 1.9.1 and 1.8.6. This behavior is showing in both versions. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the objects pulled into the Assets Panel come from a converted idml file. From scratch created elements work as expected.

@Pauls, sure. Here is a link to the file: https://fromsmash.com/UhJng1T45b-dt

the original file has more pages and I realized that opening the same idml file now takes more time in Affinity 1.9.1. compared to 1.8.6

Thanks for looking into this.

Maybe it has something to do that the converted idml file has a different DPI value than your document you want to drag the asset to?

No, the text gets resized even if I pull it back into the document out of which I created the asset from. And why should it resize text? That should be completely independent of what dpi the document has. I also tested it with a different dpi setting – same result.
