Hi,

I just bought your software yesterday and am excited to learn it.  I have never used Photoshop or anything else, so I am starting from scratch.

I tried to download your sample photos to learn from, but when I clicked on them a RED X came up where they should have downloaded.  I don't know what I did wrong.

Anyway, is there someplace where I can learn what all the software terms mean ?  I have watched your Beginners video on Vimeo and it helped a lot but I am a bit overwhelmed right now.

Thank you for making this software.  I have left my photos in iPhoto and am running Yosemite.  I do not like the new Photos app and have been looking for some software that would work with iPhoto.  Affinity Photo looks like a beautiful program and I look forward to learning it...

Hi MTnlyn,

Welcome to the Forums :)

The red X is to cancel the download of the sample files. You can see the download progress in the border of the circle around the thumbnail, once the download is complete clicking the thumbnail will allow you to view the sample.
