I updated the program to the latest version thinking that the update could solve the problem of the slow opening of the program, but things got worse, watch the video. Adas50 Posted March 17, 2021 Author Posted March 17, 2021 Hi guys, I know that in the forums it is possible not to receive an answer to the question posed, but from the Affinity site this forum is indicated as a resource for technical support in addition to the Facebook and Twitter group. I have an idiosyncrasy with social media and for this reason my only source for getting support is this forum. If it is right not to expect answers from other forum users, it is equally fair to expect an answer to my question from the Affinity staff who I believe manage the forum. Having said that, I think that over a minute of waiting for the complete opening of the program, as shown by the linked video, is more than excessive. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program, I tried to follow the procedure suggested by MEB QA / Support in this topic, unfortunately things have not changed. If I do not receive a response from the staff I will uninstall the program and have a drink to forget the money spent.

As explained on the pinned post at the topic of the Forums here, we are very busy at the moment. Could you try installing the latest beta for Affinity Photo from here. It installs alongside the release build and gets its own shortcut. This beta has had a number of improvements made to it, so would be interesting to see if you still have the delay with the beta.
Adas50 Posted March 20, 2021 Author Posted March 20, 2021 Hi @stokerg I have installed the recommended Beta version and I can say that it loads quickly, between 15 and 20 seconds, an acceptable loading time, I would say normal for an image processing program. Can I continue to use it? Can I uninstall the old version or is it too early to do so?
