Expand path issue

Recommended Posts

Hello, I love your software, but I hate the constant problems with paths. I work a lot with text as well as expand paths frequently. In 1.7x I had a lot of problems with this. I had the impression that there were significantly fewer in the 1.8x, but now the problems are back. I made a regular path which I then rounded. After the expansion, horrible glitches appeared. In this case, I suspect it has to do with the overlapping points. With expanded text, the text often deforms completely and I am unable to fix it. Then the only thing left for me is to copy the element to AI, merge and return to the Designer: / I will try to recreate an example with text errors as well.screenshot_20210314_143557.png.4be5b5d14d18fbe6ca782f1ca63462ad.png

Try Layer > Convert To Curves first, then Expand Stroke.
If you still see artifacts, Undo, try the Smooth Curve action button in the context toolbar and expand again.
If it still doesn't help, the ctrl-click to delete segments in v1.9.1 makes the cleanup a bit easier. Then zoom in, like … 10,000,000 %, snap the open nodes together and join the path.
