impossible to use purchased plug-ins

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @dolm.

First, on a matter of terminology, there are no "plug-ins" for purchase in the Affinity Store, as far as I know. There are Brushes, and Assets, and Fonts.

Next, if you have purchased them, they are available in your Affinity Store account at https://affinity.store/account/downloads and can be manually downloaded and installed. All you are missing for your purchased Store content with that error is the new 1.9 ability to have them automatically downloaded and installed into your application. You are also missing the ability to claim some free Store content, which requires the new registration function.

Again, if you purchased them, just go to https://affinity.store/account/downloads and they will be available for you there. You can download them, and install them manually.
