Publisher- Pink rectangles remain after using place image tool

Recommended Posts

Simple beginner's question, just that can't find it mentioned elsewhere.  After placing many images on page using  place image tool, some photos remain with pink rectangle around them, while most don't.- No clue as to purpose of this rectangle, but can't get rid of it, it persists in distracting way . Never used to get this. Please enlighten me, thanks, Martin

Disable "Show snapping candidates" in the Snapping options in the main toolbar or in the View > Snapping Manager window.

Hello- thanks very much for prompt reply, haven't investigated snapping much, but must have either just missed it before, although have been using Publisher for 2 years without it becoming apparent!  Now that I know it's a snapping thing, I can retrospectively see that others have had same query- eg ThatMikeGuy, Sept 2020,   so maybe Affinity should have some way of identifying what lines are for newbies. Thanks again.
