Excuse me, buy I don't write/speak English very well...

So far I have been working with the registered version of Publisher 1.8.5 without problems on Windows 10 20H2.

After a weeks without using the program, today it tells me that there is a new version, the 1.9.1 that I download. The new version starts perfectly, but when opening any file created with the previous version it crashes. It doesn't show any information, simply window close.

I have tried to disable OpenCL from the program preferences, but nothing changes. The folder containing the error reports "%AppData%\Roaming\Affinity\Publisher\1.0\CrashReports\reports" is empty.

I have return to 1.8.5 version and it load this files without problems.

Greetings again...

I have tried installing both versions of the program on a newly installed Windows 10 virtual machine and the problem reoccurs. I don't understand why when opening a file created with version 1.8.5 the new versions simply close without providing any kind of feedback on what is happening ...

Sorry, but these are private documents.

When I studied in university, the professors always said us that you always had to provide some kind of feedback to the user when time consuming processes were running o when an error occurred.

Windows 10 and many current applications seem to forget this: long waiting times with unchanged screens, without knowing what happens, or programs that end suddenly, without giving any kind of explanation.
