vox
I have a group of curves whose outline border is misaligned with its general shape (rectangular). How do I re-align the outline to the curve so that the sides are also perpendicular and horizontal? I'm not sure if I have the terminology correct but the attached screen capture may help. affinity.tiff Also, the curve was created in a document at 300 dpi. If I copy and paste it in another document set at 400 dpi, what's the cleanest method to transform the curve to fit the new document and maintain the same width-height proportion? vox
Actually, after I align the selection box, then select another curve, and then return to the curve, the selection box is skewed again. How do I keep it aligned? The border design is the exterior curves of a puzzle cut pattern.
firstdefence
I or one of the other forum members might need to take a look at the actual file to try and work out why the bounding box is angled, if it's ok with you could you upload it so I can try to work out whats going off within the file to make it. firstdefence
Create a rectangle larger than your object, place it on top your object so it fully covers it then select both objects in the layers panel and hit the Intersect button. I made rectangle with no fill and no stroke. Select the existing curve and press ‘Add’ to add it to itself (or ‘Intersect’ to intersect it with itself, if you prefer). Tip courtesy of somebody or other! vox
Alfred, your tips works too. Thanks to both of you. That I couldn't figure it out was annoying! 😛 Alfred
