rainfall_bluez Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Prior to 1.9.1, when I "applied" the high pass filter, the image remained stenciled grey. Now, however, when I "apply" the filter, the image turns from stenciled grey to dark grey, like an overlay. Is this a new change in 1.9.1, or is this a bug? See attached photos. Quote Quote
AntonKing Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 I’m experiencing the same issue. As well as some very odd results when using sharp unmask. All since the latest update. Quote
Komatös Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Maybe the hardware acceleration is the culprit here as well. Staff Gabe Posted March 12, 2021 Staff Posted March 12, 2021 Hi all, Can you try our latest beta and see if it's any better? Quote
rainfall_bluez Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 Hi, Gabe. I have installed the latest beta version and it didn't help: "High Pass" will not apply the stenciled grey overlay; instead it continues to apply, as I noted above, what appears to be a dark overlay. Note also: my other filters aren't working, either. For example, when I apply a Gaussian blur, I can increase the blur only to about 16% before an opaque white overlay appears over the photo. See attchments. Please provide an older version of Affinity Photo for us to use until you're able to work out the kinks in 1.9.1. I really, really dislike the competition's business style but will have to resort to using their software to get my projects done if you're unable to provide an earlier version of your software and / or fix these issues within the next day or two. Thank you. Quote

rainfall_bluez Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 Thank you, Alfred, for the link to the earlier builds. I'm now installing 1.9.0, with which I didn't have any problems. Hopefully this will do the trick. Alfred 1 Quote
rainfall_bluez Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) Just a heads-up: I reinstalled 1.9.0, and all of my filters, including high pass and gaussian blur, are working correctly. In addition, I'm no longer having problems using the paint brush tool to conceal/reveal when masking. Thank you. Edited March 12, 2021 by rainfall_bluez Alfred 1 Quote
