soulandorange
Hi, I've included bleed on it and there's still an outline on the image. I also had the same issue with my Affinity Designer Ipad. How can I remove the white outline? Green Gardener.pdf
loukash
Can you upload a copy of the Publisher document with the image embedded? Also, it's got no suffix. Is it an *.afpub file? soulandorange
Yes it is. Still new to Affinity but I've created a zip Green Garden.zip I also noticed that the white outline only happens in pdf format. I did png and it's fine
loukash
Alright, that has worked. The image is low resolution – only 66 ppi! – and it's not aligned to its frame and to the page by full pixels. When I open an exported PDF in Preview.app, I see the same white outline as you do. If I open the PDF in Acrobat X, there's no such white line. The main difference being that Preview attempts to smooth the image pixels. The white line seems to be something like a "rounding error" (it's all just 1s and 0s, after all). Whereas Acrobat will display every original pixel as is, even if you zoom in. (Which is exactly what a designer wants to see ) There are several ways to work around it, and combinations thereof: use a better resolution image and align it by full pixels make sure that the image overlaps the page size by a few mm (a.k.a. bleed) In fact, the Preflight warning when exporting as PDF already tells the whole story.
