Where can I get the old Designer Version 1.8. download?

Dear Affinity Team,
The following mishap happened to me: I installed the latest version 1.9.1 of the designer and since then I can no longer use the program. Obviously this new version doesn't work on my old Mac OS 10.11.6. But I need this for my old Photoshop.
Where can I get the old Designer Version 1.8. download?

Affinity 1.9.1 apps work fine on El Capitan:

That's on a 2012 MacBook Pro, using it every day.
But they work just as well –albeit slower, naturally – on my 2008 MacBook Pro which I'm using as a backup and travel machine.

Please post more details about what is it that "doesn't work".

I can create a new document, but I cannot select any tools. So I can't work either.
Where can I please the old version 1.8. download?

• If you purchased from the Mac App Store: from your Time Machine backup. (Du hast doch ein Time Machine Backup, nicht wahr?)
• If you purchased directly from Serif: store.serif.com/de/update/macos/designer/1

Thanks for the link to the updates. The only problem is, I still can't choose tools. There must then be another reason. 
What else can I do?

Do you mean that you can see the tool icons but nothing happens when you try to choose one, or do you mean that you can’t see them to choose from? If you can’t see them, press the Tab key on your keyboard to make them reappear.
