Hi,
I have a question about the opacity of objects in Affinity Photo.

The attached screenshot shows all the layers of a test file.
There are no adjustments or effects set.
Every layer is set to 100% opacity and Normal blend mode.
The ellipse was added last and moved to the bottom layer.

But as you will see, the rectangle (red) and pixel layer (green) are not 100% opaque.
I am wondering what I have missed in trying to make them so.

Many thanks for any answers,
Geof

Check the colour panel

Colours can have Opacity too

If not that, upload the document so we can investigate further

Thanks for your prompt reply.

The colour panel (on Swatches) appears to be at 100% also (as in the screenshot).
The file is attached. I hope this helps

Click the FX button for the yellow and green Rectangles and you will see the Fill Opacity has been set to 40%

There really should be a warning/indication for that

Thanks so much Carl.
I felt sure there would be a simple solution.
Unfortunately, I didn't find it.

Cheers,

Geof

FX button

In Screenshot (first post) isn't any fx function ?!

Maybe opacity for group layer (Text 1/2)?

I know, that is the problem

You can adjust the FX Fill Opacity without any indication in the Layers panel that the FX panel has a change in it, which is affecting your object

Use the Move tool, select the green rectangle click on the fx layer as though you are going to add an effect, check the fill opacity slider in the lower right of the screen, it is 40%.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks, I didn't even notice - it's a really annoying trick.
This only proves the many times required necessity for any modification of layer parameters (fx, opacity, Blend mode, Blend Range, transparency and fill tool, ...) to be visible/marked in the Layers panel.

I can confirm this is already logged with the devs - I will 'bump' this issue now with this post :)
