Hi, I only recently bought a Mac and was very excited to be using the new astrophotography persona. Unfortunately, after I select my images (Orion nebula) and press stack, it won’t allow the apply button. Obviously I am doing something wrong, just don’t know what😩. I have tried the different options, ie stacking options and RAW options. Maybe someone can help?

I also experience that stacking does not work sometimes. If I stack only light frames, or with darks, and with bias frames, it works. However, if I add flat frames, it shows that it starts stacking, but after a short period, it looks as if the progress goes very fast and then the box showing the progress disappears. But there is no result in the "stacked images' section. At that time I cannot do much anymore, and have to start all over again, with same results. I use FITS data from QSI583 imager, monochrome, 1x1 binning.

I work with version 1.9.1, Mac version

Astrophotography stacking suddenly stopped working, regardless of how many and what type of frames I am stacking. I have been using the SW for a couple of weeks and everything was working as advertised. I am using the 1.9.1 version (free trial) on a Mac.

I am also having the issue above, where the astrophotography stack stops working if flat frames are present. It works fine with all other frames I use (lights, darks, biases) in any combination but will fail during the stacking process if I add even 1 flat frame.

For reference, I am using compressed lossless RAF format raw files from a Fujifilm X-S10. This fails whether the option for white balance calibration from master flat is ticked or unticked.

Unless some part of the raw processing was changed, I'm not sure the raw format or camera is the issue because the astro stacking process worked fully with the initial Photo 1.9 release but stopped working soon after. I think that was when the first update was released and I can confirm the latest update did not fix it.

New Orion pics this evening and stacking worked perfectly (50 lights, 25 darks, and 25 bias). FYI: I am using a Skywatcher Espirt 100, iOptron AZPro mount, and Canon 800D with field corrector.

Hi there. I am also having stacking issues. Some of my fits files stack immediately and great, and some won't stack at all. I compared headers line-for-line and they were in agreement, so I don't know what the issue could be. To simplify things, I am just stacking five lights from the same camera. As far as I know my settings were the same but I suppose I could have changed something in the settings of ccdops (the program that captures the images) and am not remembering. I'll attach both sets of photos then we could see if it's on my end, or if the problem is inherent to the photo themselves. Would someone be willing to try this for me? M42 stacks for me, and M65 does not. Please ignore the names for the M42 files -- they were accidentally named "darks" but they are not. Thanks in advance.  -Noah Frere

@Terry I haven't stacked flats in a long time (if at all) so I don't remember if they worked for me, but the past year or so all of my files have stacked nicely, except for some h-alpha images that would not stack. But otherwise it's working fantastically.

Thanks Noah
I need the flat frames as my lens suffers from significant vignetting
I managed to get a stack to work once with flats, but just that once, I was impressed with the results when it worked so it's proving quite frustrating
The results so far - Failed, Worked, Failed, Failed, Failed and all with the same set of flat files, it has worked every time when I don't add the flat files, very odd.
