Hi. Are others noticing in Publisher, that the align box has options greyed out (see screenshot)? I can't make items center to one another but only to the page because I can't change that option. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Phil

This is rather back-asswards, choose the Align (entire in this case) and then you should be able to select each other or spread or page or whatever. Same with the far right  Distribute button, hit it then you can choose how to make the distribution, first or last or set distance....

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks for that but I don't get it. I select all the items I want to align and then I hit the Center button and it puts them all in the wrong place. Am I misreading you?

Oh! I have to hit Center then Selection Bounds then center again? That has to be a bug, right?

I only have to hit Align Center, then Selection Bounds. Align Center remains selected/active.

Is the reversed Apply Cancel button and the Auto Distribute/Value box a Windows Mac thing?

I am just trying Affinity out to see if it can replace my current software. I use this feature constantly and this is the only recent thread I have found on the subject of aligning relative to other objects. I am experiencing the exact same issue; the drop down menu is greyed out and locked to whatever the software default alignment is. Has there been a solution? Thank you!

First choose your objects. Choose your alignment, centre or left or right, now choose from the drop down menu.

@shechoselove, @Phil_rose

At least one object must be selected. And, if you would align more than one object in the line or in the row, you should first group these objects, Then align the group.

Thank you. I took the photos. As you can tell, I am more of a photographer than a page layout person!

And I'm a page layout person but a terrible photographer. 🙂
