If I want to use an outline character in Publisher, I go to the Designers Persona, choose the Contour Tool and then the text will be in outline.
When I then go back to Publisher Persona and create a new text, the new text also appears in outline!

That is not the intention, but I have not yet figured out how to turn this off in advance!

Please advice what to do.

I think you need separate text frames for this to work, otherwise you'll have to turn the text into curves.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hi @Axhill  it looks as if the stroke control within Character > Decorations will do what you're after, without having to change persona:
