Selection From Layer Missing Affinity Designer Pixel Persona

Selection From Layer is Missing on Affinity Designer Pixel Persona. Is this by design? 

I had to quickly convert my shape to pixel so I can then create a selection out of it with the Selection Tool...

The functionality is in Pixel Persona, although the menu item is absent. Cmd-click on the object's thumbnail to get a selection.

Cmd-click on Mac, Ctrl-click on Windows.

Just curious but was this ever a menu item in AD's Pixel Persona?

Since I have always used the thumbnail CMD-Click method, I never would have noticed it even if it was a menu item in some older version.
