Luddite Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Good morning. I am having difficulty with the refine process in general. I have watched the serif tutorial until I can almost say it by heart! However, this question is about reducing the size of the Refine panel. Wherever I drag it - it is so big that it either obscures what I am trying to refine - or if I drag it far enough to see my illustration, most of it is off the screen so I only get a corner.. I can only see that panel if I have the brush tool selected - so am I missing an option on the toolbar for adjusting the size of the panel. On serif tutorial about refining the panel is proportionate so I guess there must be a way. I would appreciate guidance. Thank you. Quote
GarryP Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 There’s currently no way for users to alter the size of the Refine Selection panel/dialog. Having said that, in its current configuration, it could certainly be made quite a bit thinner without much trouble, which might help. If you would like to see a change to that panel/dialog then you can add a Feature Request in the relevant forum section (check first to see if there already is one which you can add to). Quote
NotMyFault Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Hi Luddite, my son had a similar issue with his 15" laptop with full HD 1920x1080. If you use Windows, i would recommend to check the control panel / display settings, Scale & Layout. Windows will use a scaling factor of 150% to 250% depending on your monitor size & pixel density. This will blow up all Affinity dialog boxes beyond reasonable size. For work with Affinity Photo, you may need to reduce this to 100% or any suitable value.
