Hello,

Have been using the software for a few days now and just wondering if someone can provide a little bit of guidance (with respect to user developed objects).

Is there a way (and if yes, how is it done??) to save or export an individual group of shapes (consisting of several vector objects) of a project in a similar way to that of an object repository? (some of the more expensive applications have something like a clip art library)?

Thanks for reading!

Hi youwho,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

You can export objects/layers/groups individually as you see fit using the Export Persona.

Here's some video tutorials that may help:

Exporting

Export Persona: Layers

Export Persona: Slices

Continuous export

Regarding the clipart/object Library there's plans to improve the Media Browser to include your own sections for storing objects etc. Please check Affinity Deaigner's roadmap for more info.

For additional video tutorials check this page or MacAffinity Vimeo channel.

Hi Youwho

Welcome to the forums :)

At the moment this is not possible unfortunately. We do have plans in the future to include user categories in the media browser for shapes and objects, if this is the sort of thing you are looking for? Click here to see a roadmap of all new features.

MEB beat me to it!
