Dirk1671612
AP was working fine until the latest update. Now it does not respond, freezes, tools do not work randomly, export frequently causes crashes. AP is now unusable. Using Windows 10 and everything has been updated. Has anyone else experienced this? Have Serif identified the problem and will they be issuing a bug fix? Thanks Dirk

walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. First thing to check: in Preferences, Performance, do you have Hardware Acceleration enabled? If so, disable it, and restart the application, and see if that resolves your issues. v_kyr
Look after possible by Affinity Photo generated crash report files, these if created during crashing usually reside under an as default by Windows hidden directory path ... %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports If there are any crash reports, copy (and zip these together) and post (attach) them into a bug posting you can create in this section "Photo Bugs found on Windows", so the devs can take a look at these and tell you if the problem is OpenCL and GPU driver related or has another cause like a sideeffect with some third party app, or something else etc. Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.

v_kyr
Then create a bug report in this section "Photo Bugs found on Windows" and describe what you did and under which circumstances it crashes. Dirk1671612
I have reinstalled AP (repair option} and there has been some improvement. Resizing to a much smaller size also seems to help.
