GlennG
I am new to Affinity products and to digital painting. I have done all photography work up until now. I am trying to draw a waterfront scene looking down the block at a slight angle as in the sketch I have attached. The bottom of the image points to a horizon line that is up and to the right. The top of the image points down and to the right. How do I set this up with grids? I would need fairly precise control of angles since the lower angles are steeper than the opposite upper angles if that makes any sense. I would love to use the isometric grids but would be happy with any grids at all. I have not found a tutorial that covers this twin perspective problem. I do not have the Photo app so those tools will not help at this time. Thanks for any help. Edited March 3, 2021 by GlennG

GlennG
It appears that the only solution is the old fashioned way. I drew all the reference lines as seen in my attachment, converted all shapes to curves and now am forcing them into alignment.
v_kyr
Do you mean with image here raster/bitmap or vectors? On the pure vector side, Affinity Designer sadly doesn't have or offer any perspective distortion functionality, so you would have to use some third party tool as a workaround here (exchanging the drawing data then as SVG or PDF between apps). Or you would have to draw the perspective yourself via appropriate node placements. There is also another way to reuse the Photo live perspective filter in Designer (even without having Photo), but IMO it doesn't work that great at all and then when exported will rasterize your initial vectors here. Or try from here the download ...
