Random selection box has appeared

Hi, a random box has appeared on my Affinity Designer canvas. It looks like a selection box but I can't select it in any way. The dots appear to move around the rectangle. I have unselected from view all of the layers and it is still there. It doesn't show up when I export the design. It's possible I've selected something to create it but I have no idea what.

What you have there is a pixel selection. (The dots are usually called “marching ants”.)
Use menu “Select → Deselect” to remove it.
