Hi Alice75000,

Are you able to save a copy of the Afdesign file out, using the home screen and attach that please? Without this we won't be able to reproduce the issue you're seeing.

What do you mean by a copy of afgDesign file out, ( I’m french ? And not sure I understand what you mean)  you want my file? It’s to heavy and I can export it!

the only problem is that it crashes when I export my file what never happend before.

You can tap the menu button on the document's icon on the home screen and you will get a Save option, however there is a better option available from the 'Documents' menu called 'Save a Copy' (It is just after 'Export'). Are you able to do that and can you save a copy out to your iPad's documents folder that you can then attach to this post? Or does that also crash?

It was complicated to do because of the large file I hope you can see it.

I've tried to save it on tiff it works only without layers and of course as usual i really need my layers , i always work the same way, back and forth from aides and photoshop.

Maybe this time the layers are larger than the image, and that could be a reason, but it's strange. In that case, how can I just export the size of my image cutting out the part of the layers that are not visible?

NOW I REALIZE that file here are limitateds to 2048mega so it doesn't go through

Thanks for your attention and help

Clear history to free up some ram. Close all other apps. Then Save a copy.

You can untick the layers in the Layer Studio to deselect them from Export.

but if I I untick the layers, would you be able to see where the problem comes from?

Do you know a method to reduce the canvas ( in order to delete the limits of the image out of the work canvas ( the normal size of the picture )?

Tha I think would help a lot, I can't do it , instead of in photoshop where it is very simple to crop

I’m having trouble picturing in my mind what your layers issue looks like. Could you take a screen shot with the layers studio open so we can see what sorts of layers/layouts are involved.

You mention cropping in photoshop (which is raster based) and a destructive action. Affinity is non destructive (operates differently) so you generally always retain the cropped info to go back to. Designers vector cropping tool just masks unwanted areas, it doesn’t delete them.

Have you tried the Export Slices method of Exporting?

That's a great shout DM1! Alice75000, try clearing History from your document as then try Save as Copy as shown above and see if you can attach that file.

a bit off topic: but how would I clear history? would very much like to do that since I'm working with Designer on an ipad pro for a year now....probably much history to clear 🙂 thanks!

edit: solved

Follow steps 1, 2 and 3 in my first image posted. 1 is the little clock symbol (History studio). History is related to each file, and grows as you make edits (allows you to move back to an earlier point in editing).
