mike-1
I've looked everywhere and cannot find a way to do a simple screen capture in Affinity photo. Print screen does not work. (As when i do a "print screen" using the button or doing control+v, nothing is available in affinity to retrieve the info on the clip board) "File new from clipboard" is greyed out. Starting a new file and trying to past from clip board is greyed out. Please tell me the correct steps. In photoshop it was easy, in Affinity i have no clue. Thanks
walt.farrell
Affinity does not provide a screen capture function. That would be done by your OS. What OS do you use? The mention of Ctrl+V indicates a version of Windows, but there’s something odd going on if ‘File > New From Clipboard’ isn’t available as an option. A utility such as InsideClipboard might help to diagnose the problem. Thanks Windows . . . use <alt> + <print screen> for active monitor (last one you had activity on) or <shift> + <print screen) to capture all screens <Print screen> by itself does nothing. On a laptop keyboard you may need to hold down the Fn key at the same time. As always, you are right -- haven't used laptop for Affinity since pandemic started and my "Internet Sales Manager" job ended at the Toyota dealership. However, you still will need to use the <alt> or <shift> keys to get an image.
