Additional addons shared storage

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I added some addons to Affinity Photo and some of them are compatible with Affinity Design. To be able to use them in both, I needed to install the addons in each program. Each group of add-on occupied about 5 GB in each program, in total of 10 GB storage used. I'd like to know if it is possible to setup a common location for addons in order to avoid duplicate copies.

Thank you.

Sergio

No. The applications are not designed to allow such sharing.

You could download the JPG versions of those resources from your Affinity Store account using your web browser. And then you could use them via File > Place rather than the Assets panel.

If you also had Affinity Publisher then certain "addons" (e.g. assets) when added to Publisher will also be available in APhoto and Designer via the Studio Link functionality - a useful tip if you are low on space on your main drive
