Silvi
Ever since I updated my affinity photo to 1.9.1 It has been freezing, and half of the time I keep losing my work. The old affinity photo never had any issues. Is there a way I can get the old one back until you guys fix the 1.9.1?
carl123
First check this Go into Edit > Preferences > Performance and switch off Hardware Acceleration (if enabled) Let us know if that cures it If it does also let us know what graphics card you have listed under Edit > Preferences > Performance "Renderer" and if there is another one listed there Chris B 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Silvi
It didn't have those features on Affinity photo 1.9.1 but I checked off " enable openCL compute accelation and it seems to have solved it. Thank you 😊 I hope it continues to work. However Affinity needs to fix the bugs before they launch new upgrades. The performance was great before the upgrade to 1.9.1. Thank you again 😊😊😊😊🙏 7 hours ago, carl123 said: First check this Go into Edit > Preferences > Performance and switch off Hardware Acceleration (if enabled) Let us know if that cures it If it does also let us know what graphics card you have listed under Edit > Preferences > Performance "Renderer" and if there is another one listed there Edited February 28, 2021 by Silvi I wanted to add more PaulAffinity
Staff Chris B Posted March 2, 2021 Staff Share Posted March 2, 2021 Hey Silvi, What graphics card and driver are you using? OpenCL will only boost performance for supported cards and drivers. Switching it off will not cause you to lose any performance (it will just be the same as 1.8.5). Unfortunately during the beta testing, we only have a very tiny % of customers testing the app and with a plethora of graphics cards and drivers out there, it was impossible to test them all but I am sorry this caused you trouble. We will hopefully continue to increase support going forward.
