Replacing image should keep the scale of the original

Replacing image even with the very same file results in image being placed at 100% scale requiring rescaling even if you for example only resaved the original image in different format etc. Expected behaviour would be to try to keep the settings of image you are replacing at least if the new file has the same dimensions.
